Privacy
This is a personal site with no accounts and no forms. Left alone it loads nothing from another company: the typefaces, the images and the stylesheet all come from this domain. The one thing that can be added is a visit count, and it runs only after you have said yes in the bar at the bottom. Say no, or say nothing at all, and no cookie is set and nothing is sent to Google.

Hosting and server logs
The site runs on a server operated by Hetzner Online GmbH, Industriestraße 25, 91710 Gunzenhausen, and the machine itself stands in Germany. Every request is written to an access log holding your IP address, the time, the page requested, the referring page and your browser identification. Those logs exist to run the server and to spot attacks, and they rotate out after 14 days. Legal basis is Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR.
Visit statistics
If you agree, this site loads Google Analytics 4 from Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4. It records which pages you open, how far you read, which projects you unfold and which links you click, along with roughly where you are from, which site sent you, and what device and browser you are on; Google writes two cookies to your device to tell one visit from the next. That data goes to Google and can be processed in the United States, where authorities have wider access rights than under EU law; Google relies on the EU-US Data Privacy Framework for it. Legal basis is your consent under Art. 6 (1) (a) GDPR and section 25 (1) TDDDG, and you can take it back at any time with the button below without giving a reason. Nothing here runs before you say yes.
If you write to me
The email link on this page opens your own mail program; nothing is sent from here. Once your message arrives, it and your address stay in my mailbox for as long as answering you requires and for as long as retention rules apply. Legal basis is Art. 6 (1) (b) and (f) GDPR.
Links to other sites
The links to LinkedIn, jobscalr.works, adscalr.com and scalrventures.com are ordinary links. Nothing is requested from those sites until you click one, and from that point their own privacy terms apply, not this page.
Your rights
You can ask what I hold about you (Art. 15 GDPR), have it corrected (Art. 16), erased (Art. 17) or restricted (Art. 18), receive it in a portable form (Art. 20), and object to processing based on legitimate interest (Art. 21). You may also complain to a data protection supervisory authority; for Cologne that is the Landesbeauftragte für Datenschutz und Informationsfreiheit Nordrhein-Westfalen.
